Customer Support Assistant | London

As a Customer Support & Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering excellent service to our customers, ensuring they have the best possible experience whilst living with us.

 

The ‘must-haves’ as a Customer Support Assistant;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in delivering excellence in customer service
  • Experience of using business operating systems e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
  • Flexibility to undertake shift work
  • Ability to work in multiple locations in London
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in business to customer sales

The role of a Customer Support Assistant is challenging and varied, your main responsibilities include:

  • Providing ‘Front of House’ services at our properties, responding to any resident queries or issues, ensuring all matters are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered to all customers of urbanest
  • Completing organised customer Check In and Check Out days – showing residents to their new rooms and answering any queries they may have
  • Responding to sales enquiries from our customers: face to face, telephone or email
  • Working as a whole city team to achieve sales targets
  • Holding effective arrears conversations with customers, helping them understand their current account balance and any actions they need to take
  • Performing flat viewings with potential customers, giving them tours of the properties and facilities we offer, discussing and understanding their needs
  • Undertaking flat inspections and monitor resident behaviour
  • Regularly liaising with the Maintenance team and Cleaning team to ensure our properties are presented to the highest standard
  • Supporting with the on boarding of new team members, assisting with training needs
  • Having a strong understanding of the student accommodation market, including competitors
  • Having a strong understanding of our main stakeholders within London

£20,000 - £21,000 per annum

Maintenance Operative | London

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for delivering the best experience for our customers by completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities. Your duties will include:

 

The ‘must haves’ as a Maintenance Operative:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in relevant specialism
  • 1 year domestic electrical/plumbing/general maintenance experience
  • Previous experience in mobilistation/opening of a new building(s)
  • Intermediate level skills in business operating systems including Microsoft office
  • Demonstrable experience of effective communication both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work across locations in London
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays

Your main duties will include:

  • Exercise initiative in providing excellent customer service, liaising effectively with Managers and other colleagues
  • Liaising with and monitoring onsite contractors to ensure completion of work
  • Attend and constructively contribute to team meetings sharing knowledge and supporting new ideas
  • Responsibility for the day to day management of reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Undertake regular building patrols to identify any maintenance requirements or Health and Safety risks
  • Undertake scheduled flat inspections and complete all resultant actions in a timely manner
  • Record, log and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the property
  • Ensure that maintenance records are kept for the all services, inc PAT testing and fixed wiring certification
  • Ensure that all Property Documentation Files are accurate and up to date
  • Adherence to H&S policy ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are obtained/ maintained and that safe systems of work are followed, inc – –
  • Permit to Work

£20,000 - £25,000 per annum

Concierge | London

As a concierge you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by delivering excellent standards of service outside of normal day-time operating hours.

 

The ‘must haves’ as a Concierge:

  • Experience of using business operating systems including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrable experience of effective communication both orally and in writing
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous security/conflict management experience
  • Flexibility in working hours including weekend working
  • Live within a reasonable travel distance to properties within the City
  • Ability to work in multiple locations in London

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate effectively, whether face to face, via telephone or in writing, with customers and colleagues, clearly understanding and responding to their needs
  • Provide ‘front of house’ services at the property as required
  • Provide effective monitoring and management of residents including, behaviour and disciplinary issues, maintenance and damage
  • Record, log and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the property and liaise with the facilities team to ensure their timely repair
  • Undertake regular building patrols to identify any maintenance requirements
  • Health and Safety or security risks and complete all resultant actions in accordance to the core operating procedures
  • Support the on boarding of new members of the team, providing a warm welcome to new starters and supporting their development by answering questions and offering guidance
  • Attend and constructively contribute to team meetings (sometimes during the day) sharing knowledge and developing and supporting new ideas and improved processes
  • Contribute and support the growth of an urbanest team spirit, working in line with the values and encouraging others to do the same
