8 Exciting Things to Do in Victoria London

If you’re lucky enough to live in London or you’re just visiting for the day, the amount of things to do in the city can seem overwhelming. To help you plan your day, we look at 10 exciting things to do in Victoria, whatever the weather.

1. Apollo Victoria Theatre

If you’ve got some cash to splash and an evening to kill, the Apollo Theatre is a great source of entertainment. As London’s West End, the Apollo is the home of the renowned musical Wicked, which shows at 7:30pm Monday to Saturday or 2:30pm on Wednesday and Saturdays. Tickets start from £22 and the venue is just a 5-minute walk from urbanest Victoria if you fancy doing something different. It’s also one of the things to do near Victoria Station, at just 2 minutes walk away.

2. Little Ben

We’ve all heard of the Big Ben, but it’s lesser known sibling definitely sees less crowds. This is a mini clock tower at the intersection of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Victoria Street, which is just a 5-minute walk from urbanest Victoria. While you can’t kill a lot of time there, it’s a great place for a photo opp.

3. Victoria and Albert Museum

While the Victoria & Albert Museum is a 40 minute walk from your accommodation, it’s only 15 minutes via the tube and is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. This museum is open daily from 10am – 5:45pm, it even stays open until 10pm on a Friday. The V&A is the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative arts and design. The exhibitions change regularly so check the site to see what’s on.

4. Buckingham Palace

At just a 10-minute walk from urbanest Victoria, you’ll not want to miss one of the biggest attractions in London. Buckingham Palace is home to Queen Elizabeth and is the London headquarters for the Royal family. If you fancy going, it’s free to visit and witness outside, however, to enter the state rooms costs a minimum of £22.80 for students.

5. Saatchi Gallery

Another one of our exciting things to do in Victoria is aimed at art fans. The Saatchi gallery is one of the most famous art galleries in the UK and sits just 25 minutes’ walk from urbanest Victoria. To get your fill of modern art, opening hours are 10am-6pm every day and exhibitions change regularly, so there’s always something new to see.

6. Hyde Park

As a 19 minute walk from urbanest Victoria, Hyde Park is a great way to spend the day. If the weather allows it, pack a picnic and enjoy the sun in this 350-acre park. There’s plenty of wildlife and nature to marvel at, as well as regular events including discovery days and walking tours.

7. Natural History Museum

You’ll no doubt have heard of the Natural History Museum. Their famous collections include dinosaur skeletons as well as a renowned blue whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling. If you’re interested in zoology and history, this is definitely one to visit. Entrance is free and it’s only 17 minutes on the tube from urbanest Victoria.

8. Eaton Square Gardens

Last on our list of things to do in Victoria is another one for a sunny day. If you want to temporarily escape city life and get back to nature, Eaton Square Gardens lets you achieve this on your doorstep. At just 16 minutes’ walk from urbanest Victoria, these gardens boast neatly manicured lawns, contemporary sculptures and several spots to get some peace and quiet.
