When considering KCL residences, urbanest Hoxton is a great option. Our Hoxton accommodation is an easy 25-minute journey to the KCL Strand campus and is located in a fantastic part of east London. Within a short distance of some of the most up-and-coming areas, you’re surrounded by hip bars, restaurants, and cafes, as well as art galleries, music venues, and some must-see London landmarks.
Why Live In Hoxton?
Hoxton is celebrated for its indie art community and is well-suited to students and young professionals looking to make a base in the capital. If you enjoy vintage shopping, perusing markets, and finding delicious independent restaurants, then Hoxton is the place for you.
In terms of study, it’s only 16 minutes by bike to the King’s College Strand Campus, and 25 minutes by bus. Other campuses are also nearby, making it a great option for those who want to get stuck in their studies, not stuck in transit.
Close to bustling Shoreditch, there are plenty of choices regarding socialising and nightlife. Whether you prefer clubs, bars, the pub, or cocktails with dinner, there is something for everyone in this popular part of London. However, Hoxton is generally a quieter neighbourhood, meaning you can feel safe when returning home and don’t have to worry about the city noise. Read our guide to Hoxton student life to get a feel for what it’s like living in this area.
Living here, you are also well connected to many lively and interesting areas like Islington, Hackney, and the City of London, so there is no shortage of things to see and do. urbanest Hoxton is just a five-minute walk from Old Street tube station, which connects you to the Northern Line to stops like Tottenham Court Road, Charing Cross, and London Bridge.
