5th December 2020 Olivia Rogerson London Life

London is full of incredible and magical things to do on New Year’s Eve.

No matter your preferred choice of celebrating, we’ve complied a list with something for everyone; from fireworks to face packs and more!

Welcome in 2023 with friends and family at the London New Year’s Eve fireworks, make sure to secure your tickets in advance to watch the dazzling display near the London Eye. Tickets are £15 and on sale now. Residents of urbanest Westminster Bridge will have the best views in the capital!

If dancing your way into the New Year is more your thing, here are some suggestions…

Party the night away during Defected NYE at Printworks, where you’ll enjoy some funky music and great drinks.

Dance with the dinosaurs during the New Year’s Eve Jurassic Party at the Natural History Museum, which features Jurassic-themed activities, a silent disco, musical bingo and the chance to explore some of the museum’s galleries after dark.

Boogie your way through several decades at Southbank Centre’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular, which has five different floors featuring music from different eras.

The east London branch of Bar Elba’s sister venue, Tonight Josephine, is going all out with a ‘glitterbomb’ theme, so get ready to dress in your blingiest outfit.

If bars are more your thing, visit Bat & Ball for a Peaky Blinders themed night. Enjoy a night of cocktails, whisky, pool, ping pong and more. Plus, the best dressed person will receive a £50 bar tab prize.

If you’re not looking to spend too much this New Year’s, Belushi’s Bars in London has extended its Happy Hour for New Year’s Eve from 5pm to 9pm! Remember to show up early for free entry too! Venue’s nearest to urbanest are London Bridge and Southwark branches.

If you want to continue the festive feeling for as long as possibly why not enjoy an afternoon skating at one of London’s top ice-skating rinks or get stuck into festive fun at Winter Wonderland with rides, markets and shows.

If you’re looking for a quieter night, invite some friends over, watch New Year’s Eve themed movies with a big bowl of popcorn, or even have a board game night.

If you fancy a bit of self-love then perhaps treat yourself to a DIY New Year’s Eve spa evening. Grab some face masks, nail polish, relax with a mocktail and you’ll be in the right headspace to conquer the new year.

You can also start off the new year by witnessing the magical New Year’s Day Parade. Starts at 1pm on January 1st!

However you choose to spend your New Year’s Eve, have fun, stay safe and tag us in your photos @urbanestuk and we’ll share the best ones to our socials!
